PaperTrench docs
Everything you need to know to paper trade pump.fun coins like a pro. Short version: real coins, real prices, fake SOL.
Getting started
- Hit Enter the trading terminal on the homepage.
- Pick Continue as guest, Google, or email.
- You land in the trenches with 10 SOL. Click any coin to open its chart, or use quick buy right from the list.
Guest vs account
A guest account is created instantly with no email. It's tied to this browser, so clearing site data loses it.
To keep your progress, open the account menu and choose Save progress. Add an email and password, confirm the email, and your guest balance, positions and history move over.
Balance and resets
- Every account starts with 10 SOL.
- When your cash drops below
0.01 SOL, a reset button shows up. - Resetting puts you back to 10 SOL and closes all positions.
- After a reset you have to wait 1 hour before the next one. A countdown shows how long is left.
The trenches
The terminal has three live columns:
- New Pairs: pump.fun coins that just launched and are under 35% of their bonding curve. New ones slide in at the top in real time.
- Final Stretch: coins still on the curve but past 35%, sorted by market cap. These are the ones close to graduating.
- Migrated: coins that completed the curve and moved to PumpSwap.
Each card shows age, market cap (MC), 24h volume (V), transaction count with a buy/sell bar, curve progress, 5 minute change and socials. The ring around the image fills up as the curve fills.
Filters
Every column has its own search box and filter button. Filters are saved to your account, so they're still there next time.
- Market cap min and max in $K, plus quick presets.
- Age min and max in minutes.
- Volume and transaction minimums.
- Curve progress range in percent.
- Has socials to hide coins with no Twitter, Telegram or website.
Trading and fills
On a coin page the right side has the trade panel. Buy with presets of 0.1, 0.5, 1 or 5 SOL or type any amount. Sell 10%, 25%, 50% or 100%, or drag the slider.
When you place an order, our server looks up the live price itself (DexScreener first, then GeckoTerminal). If a coin is only seconds old and not indexed yet, it uses the price from the latest on-chain trade we streamed.
Every fill pays a 1% fee and 0.5% slippage against you, so results feel close to the real thing.
Bonding curve basics
pump.fun coins start on a bonding curve. Price comes from a constant product formula with 30 virtual SOL and 1.073B virtual tokens. Buying pushes the price up, selling pulls it down.
Once about 85 SOL of real buys land on the curve, the coin graduates (around $70K to $90K market cap depending on SOL price) and liquidity moves to PumpSwap. That's the migration.
Total supply is always 1 billion tokens, so market cap is just price times 1B.
Data sources
- PumpPortal websocket: new token launches, live trades and migration events from pump.fun.
- GeckoTerminal: indexed pump.fun and PumpSwap pools, candles and token images.
- DexScreener: pair prices, liquidity and socials.
All three are free public feeds. If one is rate limited, that column shows a retry button instead of fake data.
